The program aims to assist eligible participants in resolving outstanding citations, restoring lawful driving privileges and reducing arrests while lowering the court’s overall caseload. Violation of probation warrants are excluded from the amnesty offer.

Under the program, individuals with outstanding bench warrants or required court appearances can pay a reduced appearance bond, obtain a new court date and have their warrant withdrawn. Those with traffic violations that led to driving privilege restrictions may pay overdue fines or request a new court date to initiate the restoration of their driving privileges.

TRENDING STORIES:

Accepted forms of payment for the program include cash, money order, cashier’s check and credit or debit cards. The court will not accept personal checks.

Participants may apply in person at the Brookhaven Municipal Court, located at 1793 Briarwood Road, between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. throughout October, or submit a request online through the city’s website.

The amnesty program will remain open through Oct. 30, 2026.
