Mercedes-Benz Stadium Inside & Out

ATLANTA — The brand-new Mercedes-Benz Stadium is about to open. The new home for the Atlanta Falcons and Atlanta United was built with fans in mind. Channel 2 takes viewers inside and reveals all its unique features. “Mercedes-Benz Stadium Inside and Out” airs at 8 p.m. Aug 23. Jovita Moore and Justin Farmer, anchors for Channel 2 Action News, host the show.

Channel 2 has been there for every step of the stadium’s construction and now viewers will see rare moments inside caught on camera. Channel 2 Sports Director Zach Klein talks with Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan as he walks through his team’s new home.

The stadium’s technology is state-of-the-art. The 360-degree halo board is 60 feet tall and unlike any video board built for any stadium in the world.

The technology does not stop there. Channel 2 shows how technology was embedded in every inch of the building and how it enhances the fan experience.

The stadium will also host major concerts. Channel 2’s Dave Huddleston looks at the economic impact of these events and how visitor numbers could rise even higher. He also digs into the competitive edge it will give the city.

“We invite local viewers to watch this new special ‘Mercedes-Benz Stadium, Inside and Out’ and see this exciting new stadium and the impact it will have on Atlanta.” said Tim McVay, vice president and general manager of Channel 2 WSB-TV.
