There had been a national search for Johnson since June. Deputies discovered human remains buried in a shallow grave on a property and later identified the victim as Jason Coulthart.
Investigators called Johnson a “master manipulator” who used multiple aliases to avoid capture. She had ties to Florida, north Georgia and lower Alabama.
The Walton County Sheriff’s Office says five others have been charged in connection to Coulthart’s murder. Two of the five are accused of hiding Johnson from authorities.
The sheriff’s office and U.S. Marshals offered a combined $16,000 reward for information that led to Johnson’s arrest.
