Jackson County Schools delay start for all schools for bomb threat investigation

Breaking News WSB

The Jackson County School System says it’s delaying the start to the school day after multiple schools received a “computer generated threat.”

The school district is working with the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office to identify where the bomb threat originated from. The sheriff’s office is asking families to avoid the school areas and others can expect traffic delays.

“Heavy police presence at multiple Jackson County Schools due to bomb threats received over night. We will update on all social media platforms as each school has been cleared, as well as any other additional information that becomes available,” the sheriff’s office says.
