RICHMOND COUNTY, Ga. — Deputies have arrested a man who they say opened fire on them Thursday night.
Donte Godwin, 25, was arrested by Richmond County deputies and the U.S. Marshals Task Force on Friday.

Deputies were called to a home on Tybee Court on Thursday. when they arrived, someone opened fire on them.
Investigators now say that man was Godwin.

The deputies fired back and Godwin ran off, sparking a manhunt in the area.
Godwin is now being held in the Richmond County Jail on a charge of aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer.
