RICHMOND COUNTY, Ga. — East Georgia deputies are searching for a man who opened fire on them on Thursday.
Richmond County deputies were called to a home in reference to an assault.

When they got there, a man opened fire on them. Deputies returned fire, but the suspect ran off.
It’s unclear whether the suspect was shot.

Deputies are actively searching the area for him.
No deputies were injured in the shooting.
