Man shot while sleeping in car near Georgia State; 2 on the run

Police are looking for two men who shot a man who was sleeping in his car in northeast Atlanta.

It happened on Auburn Avenue just before around 1:30 a.m. Monday morning near the Georgia State University campus.

Witnesses said people in two white cars fired at least seven shots into the victim’s car.

The Atlanta Police Department said the victim got out and flagged down a security guard. He’s expected to survive.
