ATLANTA — Atlanta Fire Rescue Department says a man was hospitalized for severe burns after a fire Saturday morning.

Firefighters responded to the blaze at a home the 2500 block of Dale Creek Drive NW at around 9:30 a.m. They were told a man and a dog were inside.
At the one-story home, they found a man with severe burns. He was given medical help at the scene and was taken to Grady Hospital.
The fire was brought under control, and crews continued to search for the dog, which hadn’t been located.
