TROUP COUNTY, Ga. — A man in Troup County was accused of setting a house on fire while people were still inside.
Now, Dakota Fuller, 30 of West Point, faces charges for setting the fire and trying to harm those who were in the home.
The Troup County Fire Marshal’s Office said the fire happened early in the morning on Aug. 9 at a home on Jim Turner Road.
When the fire department go to the home, crews worked to quickly contain the flames and prevent further damage to the home and nearby properties.

While investigating the fire, investigators from the Marshal’s Office and Troup County Sheriff’s Office determined the fire was set intentionally while the home’s occupants were still there.
Fuller was identified as a suspect and arrested without incident, according to Troup County officials.
He faces charges of aggravated assault and first degree arson.
The matter remains under review and additional, related charges have not been ruled out.
Officials did not share a potential motive for the alleged arson.
