DECATUR, Ga. — A major road is back open in Decatur after a tree fell and knocked some power lines down with it.
Channel 2’s Brittany Kleinpeter was on North Decatur Road at the Clairmont Road and Clairemont Avenue split where police had the road shut down.
Kleinpeter found crews working to clear a large amount of tree limbs that had fallen across the road.

Earlier Monday morning, Georgia Power’s outage map showed at least 2,000 customers didn’t have power.
The power has since been restored for the majority of the area. As of 7:45 a.m., about 90 people appear to not have power in the area.
