Hunter Hayes helps open music studio at Boys and Girls Club

ATLANTA — A popular country music artist was in Atlanta performing Saturday. Hunter Hayes was in town to celebrate the opening of a new music studio in southeast Atlanta.

He got a chance to see the new hi-tech music facility donated to the Whitehead Boys and Girls Club in southeast Atlanta.

It was all part of a collaboration between the Notes for Notes music foundation and the Country Music Association.

"We believe in the power of music so the instruments and the electronics you see we are really creating a space for that to happen," said Notes for Notes co-founder Rod Hare.

Hayes performed for the students to celebrate the opening.

Now the children get to take over with the practices and performances.

Hayes is scheduled to perform at Aaron's Amphitheatre at Lakewood Saturday night.

Hayes is a four-time GRAMMY nominee, won CMA New Artist of the Year and is the youngest male act ever to top the Billboard Hot Country song chart.
