HENRY COUNTY, Ga. — A community in Henry County that went without power from about 7 p.m. on Saturday is now fully powered on.
Crews worked to get power up and running throughout the day and night on Sunday.
Georgia Power confirmed electricity was fully restored at the Eagles Landing Country Club community on Monday morning.

The Eagles Landing Country Club in Henry County was experiencing a power outage a Georgia Power spokesman confirmed the outage was due to equipment failure caused by a truck hitting the transformer at the community.
At the onset, the power outage impacted around 900 customers.
“The power went out to be about 95% of our community, 877 homes, 14 miles of road, so you get a sense,” Brenda Culpepper, the Eagles Landing Property Owner Association president, told Channel 2’s Eryn Rogers.

Culpepper told Channel 2 Action News that there are a lot of seniors in the community, so she was concerned about them in the heat and without electricity to operate medical devices.
She also said people in the community pay a substantial amount for their power bills.
“My bill is $800 a month,” Culpepper said. “That’s somebody’s rent, and a lot of these residents pay that kind of money, and you’d expect to be able to have power or an answer to a question.”
Power was briefly restored a few times throughout the day, but it wasn’t fully restored until late Monday morning.
