An officer chased him and ordered him to drop the gun, but the teen did not.
That’s when the GBI says the officer shot him. The teen, whose name has not been released, was pronounced dead.
Channel 2 Action News was in the area on Tuesday night as police had a portion of the road shut down for hours.
The GBI is still investigating.
