Teodros Mulat Shibeshi, 64, pleaded guilty to malice murder, two counts of aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
Shibeshi was accused of shooting and killing 57-year-old Tigist Lulesegud and shooting her 65-year-old brother, Abebe D. Yeshetela, on April 27, 2024.
According to the DA’s office, Shibeshi went into the store where the victims were working. Witnesses said an altercation began before Shibeshi shot Lulesegud multiple times, including after she went down.

He then shot Yeshetela in the leg.
A witness who was a customer in the store told police that Shibeshi said, “I am taking myself out now,” before pointing the gun at himself and firing. He was not successful in killing himself.
Shibeshi pleaded guilty to all charges before a pending trial.
He was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole, plus 25 years.
“We hope this outcome can bring justice to Ms. Lulesegud’s family,” Gwinnett District Attorney Patsy Austin-Gatson said.
