COMMERCE, Ga. — The Georgia Bureau of Investigation says a Commerce man has been arrested on 31 counts of child molestation in Jackson County.
Steven “Mike” Michael Blackmon, 56, is in custody at the Gwinnett County Jail.

Investigators believe that Blackmon may have also victimized children when he lived in Memphis, Tenn. in the late 90s and early 2000s. Blackmon went by “Mike Blaekman” while in Tennessee, where he owned a hockey shop at the Mall of Memphis. Blackmon coached high school football for several years.

Investigators believe Blackmon left Memphis in 2002 or 2003 after he was questioned for inappropriate contact with children.
The Commerce Police Department, the GBI and the Federal Bureau of Investigation for anyone who knew Blackmon in Memphis.
