PEACHTREE CORNERS, Ga — The city of Peachtree Corners wants to keep cyclists safe on the roads this summer.
Data from the national highway traffic safety administration shows 79% of cyclist-related crashes happen during the summer months.

Recently, leaders at Peachtree Corners announced a new bicycle and cycling safety initiative.
It is a new tech application that allows cyclists to communicate with nearby drivers on the road.

“This technology allows the vehicles to know when a bicycle is approaching, also lets the cyclist know when there’s a car behind them,” Chief Technology Officer Brandon Brianham
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says Atlanta is one of the safest big cities in the nation for bikers and cyclists.
