COBB COUNTY, Ga. — The Cobb County Sheriff’s Citizens Academy is back and giving people who are interested a behind-the-scenes look at what really happens behind the badge.

Inquiring minds can join the academy for a free, multi-week experience where you’ll learn about the Sheriff’s Office, meet the men and women who serve our community, participate in hands-on experiences, and get answers to your questions directly from CCSO personnel.
Here are the new dates and times:
- August 20 – October 1, 2026
- Thursdays | 6:30–9:00 p.m.
- Registration closes August 17, 2026

Requirements include:
- Must be at least 18 years old and out of high school
- Must possess a valid governmental I.D.
- Must sign all consent and waiver forms
- Must be ale to attend 5 out of the 6 classes
