ATLANTA — Atlanta Police said two children who had been reported kidnapped were safely found Monday.
The family of Zola Cooper, 4, and 11-month-old Norah Cooper told Channel 2’s Michael Seiden just before 1 p.m. that the girls have been found safe.

They were taken to the hospital for monitoring and were being reunited with their mother, police said.
Lt. Christapher Butler with Atlanta Police said the suspect had gained the trust of the mother over the course of around a year.
“The mother thought she was leaving the children to somebody who she could trust,” he said.
NEWS CONFERENCE:
The suspect, Lakesha Brown, is in custody. Police said they located her in a trailer home along the 2000 block of Sylvan Road.
Police said they used technology to help locate the suspect.
The Amber Alert issued for the two children has been canceled.
They had last been seen around 6 p.m. Saturday along James P. Brawley Drive NW.
Police said the babysitter, identified as Brown, is driving a 2009 White Ford F350 with Alabama license tag IC087Y4.
