Gas pump

Georgia drivers are paying more at the pump this week as crude oil prices are rising. AAA says the uncertainty surrounding the war in the Middle East is also a contributing factor to higher gas at the pump.

“Georgia drivers are seeing gas prices climb again as global oil markets react to ongoing uncertainty in the Middle East. While pump prices remain volatile, drivers can save money by comparing prices and filling up where fuel costs less,” said Montrae Waiters, spokeswoman for AAA – The Auto Club Group.

Right now, gas prices are 3 cents higher than last week, 7 cents higher than last month, 88 cents higher than last year.

For those filling up a standard 15-gallon tank of regular gas, the cost is approximately $56.85.
