Sketch of man who dragged woman while she pushed stroller

FULTON COUNTY, Ga. — Police in Alpharetta have released a sketch after they said a man grabbed and assaulted a woman while she pushed her child in a stroller.

Investigators told Channel 2's Tom Regan that the woman fought off her attacker.

The daytime assault happened along a trail in Wills Park late Tuesday morning, according to police.

Police said the woman was approached by a man with a knife, and then he pulled her off the trial.

Investigators said the man pepper-sprayed the victim in the face as she fought him off.

Police said the mother had two cuts on her arm from the man's knife.

The child was not hurt in the incident.

The suspect was described as a 35 to 40-year-old black man wearing a gray “mechanic-type” shirt with patches, gray pants and all black shoes.

Anyone with information about the crime or suspect is asked to contact the Alpharetta Department of Public Safety, and can do so by submitting a crime tip through its Facebook page.
