FULTON COUNTY, Ga — Fulton County Animal Services has called what’s happening to a large number of dogs at its shelter an emergency.
Shelter officials said 150 dogs have been exposed to the flu and are in danger of being euthanized if they do not get adopted in the coming days.
Unfortunately, some dogs have already passed away due to the illness.

The Fulton County Shelter said it does not have space to properly isolate sick animals at this time.
They said that the animals that have been exposed to the flu are getting worse and are not responding quickly to treatment.
Officials said the most ‘critical’ issue is the 65 dogs housed at LifeLine Midtown Shelter that need to find homes as soon as possible.
