The deadly hit-and-run happened two weeks ago, but Font’s family is still feeling like it is day one of receiving the dreadful news.

“We don’t have any answers,” Harris said. “Somebody hit our son and they left.”

Harris said the 29-year-old was walking from a Papa Johns down the street.

According to the police report, Lawrenceville police were responding to a separate call. But while at the Papa Johns, a bystander alerted police that there was a body lying in the driveway of the a home next door.

“Police say it was 45 minutes from the time that the police arrived on scene to the time that he was killed,” Harris said.
