DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — A DeKalb County elementary school is being evacuated because of water issues in the area.

Channel 2’s Richard Elliot is out at Columbia Woods Drive and Edgemont Way, where he spotted DeKalb County Watershed crews working in the area. A neighbor told Elliot that they haven’t had water for at least an hour.

Columbia Elementary School is also in the neighborhood. DeKalb County Schools confirmed to Channel 2 Action News that students are being transferred to nearby schools.
Pre-K through second grade and Exceptional Education students are going to Snapfinger Elementary School. Third through fifth grade students are moving to Columbia High School.
Students will return to Columbia Elementary for regular dismissal.
