COBB COUNTY, Ga. — A Cobb County man is accused of trying to kill two women and a dog at a Walmart parking lot.
Brent Cook allegedly tried to hit the two women and a dog, a Belgian Malinois service animal belonging to one of them, at the Walmart on Cobb Parkway.

The incident, which happened on the cusp of Labor Day weekend, led to Cook’s arrest for multiple counts of attempted murder and property damage, after hitting the Belgian Malinois and harming it with his Lexus.

Arrest warrants for Cook don’t say what exactly caused the incident, but surveillance footage shows Cook trying to drive out of a parking lot and hit one woman, then slowing and turning and trying again.
During the same incident, Cook is accused of trying to run over another woman and her service dog, with court records saying the victim was seen on surveillance footage jumping out of the way of his car.
The arrest report said the service dog was valued at $25,000 and accused Cook of doing at least $500 in damage to it when he tried to hit it with his car.
The warrants say Cook also told both women he wanted to kill them, and “your f****** dog.”
Cook remains in custody without bond on multiple charges, including two counts of aggravated assault with intent to murder, criminal damage to property in the second degree and two counts of terroristic threats.
