New York 911 communications staffer accused of child molestation in metro Atlanta

COBB COUNTY, Ga. — A New York police department employee is facing charges of child molestation in metro Atlanta after being accused of molesting a minor in a hotel pool.

According to court records, Blaize Gallimore, of Albany, New York, was at a Cobb County hotel when he allegedly inappropriately touching and kissing a child at the hotel pool.

The victim was under the age of 16, according to arrest affidavits.

Gallimore was charged with hindering law enforcement after attempting to drive away when Cobb County police officers performed a traffic stop.

Arrest warrants say “when officers in marked patrol vehicle attempted to perform a traffic stop and he did not stop. Said accused continued to disobey officers lawful commands by telling them no he would not comply.”

Gallimore, who has been employed by the Albany Police Department as a telecommunications specialist since 2023, is currently suspended without pay and the department says administrative actions are currently pending.

“The Albany Police Department has been made aware that criminal charges have been filed against Telecommunications Specialist Blaize Gallimore by the Cobb County Police Department in Marietta, Georgia,” the department said in a statement. “At this time, these charges are unrelated to his duties as a Telecommunications Specialist or any matter involving the Albany Police Department.”

Gallimore faces two counts of felony child molestation and one count of obstructing law enforcement.

It was not immediately clear what brought Gallimore to Cobb County.

He is currently in custody at the Cobb County Jail without bond.
