Here’s what you need to know for Opening Day at Truist Park

COBB COUNTY, Ga. — It’s Opening Day for the Atlanta Braves!

The defending National League East champions will face the San Diego Padres on their home turf for the first time during the 2023 baseball season.

All gates will be open at 4:30 p.m., but fans are invited to enjoy Plaza pregame activities such as live entertainment, food, and more before entering the park.

In addition to gates opening at 4:30 p.m., fans can line the streets of The Battery Atlanta to get up close to their favorite players and welcome them back to the park. The parade will begin at 4:30 p.m. near Silverspot Cinema and continue down Battery Avenue to First Base Gate.

During the pregame ceremony, Stetson Bennett, the former University of Georgia Quarterback, will throw out the ceremonial first pitch, followed by the introduction of the two teams.

After the game, fans are welcome to enjoy entertainment in The Battery Atlanta, such as a live DJ that will keep the party going until 1 a.m.
