COBB COUNTY, Ga. — Police say a 2-year-old boy died after officers responded to a report of an unresponsive child at a Marietta apartment complex.
According to police, officers went to the Legacy at West Cobb Apartments at 8:36 p.m. Sept. 3 at 2665 Favor Rd. and found the boy unresponsive.
Officers gave aid and took him to Kennestone Hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead.

Detectives investigated and found elements of negligence, police said. Investigators then got an arrest warrant for the child’s father, 39-year-old Lolo Anilus.
Police charged Anilus with second-degree murder, second-degree cruelty to children and false statements. They are holding him without bond at the Cobb County Adult Detention Center.
