ATLANTA — An apartment fire is now the center of an Atlanta police investigation after a body was discovered.
Crews found a man dead inside a unit on Stanton Road near Campbellton Road. Police are working with arson investigators who found the fire suspicious.

Atlanta Fire Rescue received a call late Wednesday night that an apartment building was on fire. When crews arrived, they found the fire was contained to one unit and the fire was out.
Firefighters went inside and found a man dead in a bedroom. They said things appeared suspicious and called Atlanta police.
“It’s just the nature of of how it was discovered,” Capt. Andrew Anderson told Channel 2’s Darryn Moore about why they called police.
Anderson said the man was in his 20s. The Fulton County Medical Examiner will identified the victim.
