SWAT standoff over; Investigators say man who called police was high

ATLANTA — A suspect is in custody hours after a "false alarm" SWAT standoff at a northwest Atlanta apartment complex.

The SWAT team and officers responded to the Rolling Bends apartment complex on the 2500 block of Etheridge Drive around 9 a.m. Tuesday.

A man claimed burglars got into his apartment with a gun. But when the SWAT team arrived, nobody was inside.

Police believe the man was on drugs.
