The Atlanta Police Department is responding to a deadly shooting Wednesday afternoon.
The shooting happened at 320 Fairburn Road in southwest Atlanta. Police confirmed to Channel 2 Action News that one person is dead.
NewsChopper 2 is over the scene where crime scene investigators are collecting evidence.
We have a reporter and photographer heading to the scene for updates on Channel 2 Action News starting at 4:00 p.m.
Several APS schools were put on a brief lockdown because of the police activity but that has since been lifted.
