ATLANTA — The National Women’s Soccer League Atlanta now has a name.
Atlanta City FC was officially unveiled on Monday morning, along with their official colors and crest.
AMB Sports and Entertainment says the name recognizes that Atlanta is a city of creators and visionaries that brings people together with a shared sense of purpose.

Earlier this year, NWSL Atlanta bought 33 acres of land along Franklin Gateway in Marietta to build a new training facility.
Marietta officials say the land values at $21 million.
Atlanta City FC will now build a 38,000 square foot facility, four soccer fields and two half-pitches. They will be located near Atlanta United’s Children Healthcare of Atlanta Training Ground.

“When we were awarded an NWSL franchise, our goal was to build a world-class club with a brand that reflects our city’s strength, diversity and spirit,” Arthur M. Blank said. “We can’t wait for Atlanta City FC to take the pitch in a few short years.”
The team’s official crest includes several hidden nods to Atlanta. It features a Phoenix, Atlanta’s symbol of its ability to rise, with a hidden A in the center. It’s surrounded by Dogwood blossoms and roots to represent the city’s resilience and historical foundation.
The team will officially take the pitch in 2028.
