ATLANTA — With two winter storms in just as many weeks, metro Atlanta has already surpassed its average snowfall for the year.
So far this month, we have seen 3.2 inches of snowfall recorded at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport, which is where the official measurements are taken.
“Compare that to our regular average snowfall, which is just one inch,” Severe Weather Team 2 Chief Meteorologist Brad Nitz said about snow in the month of January.
