ATLANTA — MARTA will raise long-term parking rates by $2 a day and cut the free parking period at its paid parking facilities from 24 hours to 14 hours starting on Monday.
MARTA said the change affects all paid long-term parking locations in the system and does not affect existing free daily parking locations.

College Park, Doraville, Lindbergh and North Springs will increase to $10 a day after 14 hours.
Dunwoody, Kensington, Lenox, Medical Center and Sandy Springs will increase to $7 a day after 14 hours.

MARTA said the increase will help cover maintenance and future parking and security upgrades.
According to MARTA, upgrades since 2024 include new gates, payment kiosks, payment technology, call boxes, license-plate readers and lighting.

MARTA also said the new rates are expected to bring in an estimated additional $500,000 in annual operating revenue. The agency said its last systemwide parking fee increase was in 2009 and end-of-line stations increased in 2017.
