ATLANTA — A man carrying a gun was detained by police Saturday when Atlanta police officers responded to a shooting call at 102 Ollie St. NW around 10:20 a.m.

During a preliminary investigation, officers found out a 33-year-old man with a weapon had been shot near Washington Park. He told investigators he had been in an argument with other people.
Officers said the wounded man was taken to the hospital. He was alert, conscious and breathing when loaded into the ambulance.

K-9 units along with the crime scene technicians inspected the shooting location. They collected additional evidence, along with the wounded man’s gun.
Police said the incident remains under investigation.
