NORCROSS, Ga. — The city of Norcross said it was affected by a ransomware incident that occurred on Aug. 1.
Restoration efforts are still being completed with additional security measures. Despite that, most city systems and services are currently operational.

Until the restoration is fully complete, residents could still experience limited disruptions to certain services.
Norcross officials said they immediately took action, notifying police and cybersecurity professionals. They continue working with their partners to secure the city system.
