Death investigation underway after 2 men shot in southwest Atlanta

ATLANTA — Police are working to find out what led up to a shooting that left one man dead and another injured.

Atlanta police officers were called to the 3500 block of Sherbrooke Way just after 10 p.m. Saturday night to find two men suffering from gunshot wounds.

Paramedics pronounced one man dead on the scene. The other was alert and breathing when he was taken to the hospital for treatment. His condition is unknown at this time.

Police have not released the identities of either man.

Investigators have not released details on any potential suspects and say this incident is currently classified as a death investigation.
