Police said a woman called 9-1-1 around 12:30 a.m. saying she was the victim of an arm robbery near 900 block of Spring Street. The woman said a male and female suspect puncher her, threatened her with a gun and took her purse.

After they got on the scene and spoke with the victim, police say she identified the two suspects parked in two cars near 955 Spring Street. One was in what was identified as a black Chevy Camaro, the other a silver/gray Dodge Challenger.

Once back-up officers arrived on the scene, Atlanta Police say the suspect in the Camaro drove away. The Challenger stayed in the parking lot and when police approached the car it sped towards them hitting one of the officers who was not injured.

Police say another officer shot into the front windshield of the Challenger as it drove away. At this time, they don’t know if anyone was hit by the gunfire.
