Josh McKoon, Chairman of the Georgia GOP, is pleased with President Donald Trump’s first 100 hours in office.

“It’s promises made, promises kept from President Trump. He made it very clear on day one that he would begin to very aggressively go after criminal illegal aliens in the country,” McKoon told Channel 2′s Courtney Francisco. “I am definitely supportive.”

You can expect to see more agents working at ICE and detaining people on the streets.

“So yes, there’s going to be a ramp-up. More agents are going to be hired. There’s going to be a lot of cooperation with local law enforcement as well,” McKoon said.

You can also expect hiring within agencies that provide immigration services, like the Latin American Association.

“Bigger investments in communications, bigger investments in technology, and bigger investments in making sure we are answering phones and getting back to people right away,” Santiago Marquez with the Latin American Association said.

Over the weekend, management will be reviewing executive orders and finalizing its action plan to serve those navigating the court system.

“Make a game plan for your family if you feel that your family is at risk, if you have children - what would happen to your kids? Who would take custody of your kids, who would take custody of your assets or what would you do with your assets? And I would encourage people to continue to think about that,” Marquez said.

Management with ICE is still in the process of reviewing orders and staffing.
