André 3000 joins Netflix’s ‘Scooby-Doo: Origins’ series filming in Atlanta

ATLANTA — André 3000 is stepping back into the acting spotlight.

Netflix announced that the Atlanta native and hip-hop legend has joined the cast of its “Scooby-Doo: Origins” live action series.

André 3000’s role hasn’t been disclosed, but it’s not his first time working in the Scooby-Doo franchise. OutKast wrote and recorded “Land of a Million Drums” that was featured on the soundtrack for 2002’s “Scooby-Doo” live action film.

This will be the first acting project for André 3000 since 2022. “Scooby-Doo: Origins” is currently filming in Atlanta with a release date set for 2027.
