‘American Idol’ moving to Georgia

ATLANTA — One of America’s most popular shows is on its way to Georgia.

Sources told Channel 2 Action News that “American Idol” is moving its production to the state.

It has not yet been revealed what parts of the production will be in Georgia or where they will be housed.

The show will be moving from its previous headquarters in California.

Season 25 of the show will air LIVE on WSB-TV.

Judges Luke Bryan, Lionel Richie and Carrie Underwood are all expected to return, along with host Ryan Seacrest.

Online auditions are being held now for the upcoming season.
