ATLANTA — One of America’s most popular reality competitions is on its way to Georgia.
Sources told Channel 2 Action News that “American Idol” is moving its production to the state. The show will be moving from its previous headquarters in California.

It has not yet been revealed what parts of the production will be in Georgia or where they will be housed. “American Idol” is currently listed on the state’s “Now Filming in Georgia” website.
Season 25 of the show will air LIVE Mondays on WSB-TV.
Judges Luke Bryan, Lionel Richie and Carrie Underwood are all expected to return, along with Dunwoody native and host Ryan Seacrest.
Online auditions are being held now for the upcoming season.
