3 charged in Floyd home invasion, posed as police

Floyd County police have charged three men in a home invasion that happened Wednesday on Callier Springs Road.

FLOYD COUNTY, Ga. — Police say the victim was home alone when three men entered the house by voice, claiming they were drug agents.

They demanded the victim come downstairs, and when she refused, police say they threatened her with guns.

She told police she was tied up as they stole several hundred dollars worth of property and cash from her home.

The suspects were arrested after a short chase on foot, police said.

Police arrested Ellis Smith Jr., 25, of Stone Mountain, Tremaine Smith, 30, of Hillsboro, and Mario Sullivan, 34, of Stone Mountain for the home invasion

Each of the suspects are facing charges of kidnapping, armed robbery, aggravated assault, false imprisonment, burglary, making terroristic threats, and impersonating a police officer, among other charges, according to police.
