2 killed in Atlanta-bound Greyhound bus crash

JASPER, Fla. — A Florida Highway Patrol official says two people died in an accident involving a Greyhound bus headed from Tampa to Atlanta.

The wreck happened just before midnight on I-75 in Jasper, Fla., near the Florida-Georgia line.

Officials said 91-year-old Ernest Lee Holmes of High Springs, Fla. was driving a 1993 Buick Century when he crashed into 55-year-old Peter J. Linek, of Ormond Beach. Linek was driving his Ford Explore northbound in the correct direction.

Greyhound sent a replacement bus to take the passengers to Atlanta. Some of them suffered minor injuries.
