BALDWIN COUNTY, Ga. — The Georgia Department of Natural Resources located the body of a 16-year-old who fell into a Georgia river while fishing.
The DNR responded to a drowning at the Oconee River in Baldwin County Sunday afternoon.

Witnesses saw a 16-year-old who was fishing fall over a railing near the Sinclair Dam on Sunday.
The teen never resurfaced.
The DNR searched until it got too dark. They resumed the search Monday morning with surface sweeps and side scan sonar when the nearby dam stopped generating, according to the DNR.

Game wardens located the victim using a Remote Operated Vehicle. Divers from the Milledgeville Fire Department recovered the teenager Monday afternoon.
Investigators have not yet released the identity of the teenager.
