• 1 adult, 3 children hospitalized after wreck on I-20


    ROCKDALE COUNTY, Ga. - Four people were hospitalized after a wreck on Interstate 20 in Rockdale County Sunday.

    According to a Department of Public Safety public information officer, the wreck happened at about 4:30 p.m.

    The officer said a Ford Expedition was traveling eastbound on I-20 at mile marker 80 when the back right tire separated, the driver lost control, and the vehicle overturned.

    The driver, Orie Curtis, 43, of Augusta, was airlifted to Atlanta Medical Center. There were 3 children in the vehicle who were taken to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston.
