TROUP COUNTY, Ga. — Investigators are asking for the public’s help identifying suspects connected to a burglary at two Georgia schools.

The Troup County Sheriff’s Office said the break-in happened overnight on June 5 at Long Cane Middle School and Long Cane Elementary School while both campuses were undergoing renovations.
Investigators believe as many as three suspects were involved. Surveillance cameras captured images of people inside the buildings during the burglary, according to the sheriff’s office.
Authorities said tools and copper wire were stolen during the burglary.

Deputies pointed out that security systems remain active even when students and staff are away from campus.
“Yes, the cameras work even when school is not open,” the sheriff’s office wrote.
The investigation remains ongoing, and authorities are asking anyone who recognizes the individuals captured on camera or has information about the burglary to come forward.
