COBB COUNTY, Ga. — A man is now in custody after an hours-long SWAT standoff in a Cobb County neighborhood on Tuesday.
Police responded to a home on Wandering Vine Drive, where they say a man set a fire inside his home. The man refused to come out and SWAT teams were deployed to the scene.

Channel 2 Cobb County Bureau Chief Michele Newell learned the man is known to have a history of mental health crises. Neighbors told Newell there have been several similar incidents over the past few months.
“There have been some serious incidents similar to this in the last few months in the Atlanta area and I just want them to get him some help,” one neighbor said.
Police said the man, who has not been identified, will be charged with arson.
