WICHITA, Kansas — A Georgia man is facing a federal charge after prosecutors say he traveled across state lines intending to engage in sexual conduct with a minor.

According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Kansas, 24-year-old Cameron Blount, of Savannah, was indicted by a federal grand jury in Wichita on one count of travel with intent to engage in illicit sexual conduct.
Court documents allege Blount traveled from Georgia to Kansas in February 2026 intending to take part in sexual conduct with a minor victim.

Blount made his initial appearance before a U.S. magistrate judge after the indictment was returned.
The case remains under investigation by Homeland Security Investigations and the Chanute Police Department.
Federal prosecutors said the case is being pursued as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide Department of Justice initiative aimed at combating child sexual exploitation and abuse.
