JONES COUNTY, Ga. — A man is facing drug charges after deputies say he admitted he was “getting high” while sitting in a vehicle parked along a Georgia highway.

Jones County deputies were called Saturday night to investigate a suspicious vehicle that had been sitting on the side of Highway 57 for an extended period of time.
When a deputy arrived, he found a man sitting in the passenger seat and tried to speak with him. Authorities said the man refused to unlock the vehicle’s doors or roll down a window.
Instead, deputies said the man began preparing a pipe and smoking what appeared to be crack cocaine while sitting inside the vehicle.

Another deputy arrived to help, and authorities said the man eventually unlocked the vehicle so deputies could remove him.
When asked why he was sitting on the side of the road, the man gave a straightforward response, according to the sheriff’s office.
“Getting high,” the man told deputies.
The sheriff’s office identified the suspect as Bradley Baker.
Baker was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance and related offenses.
