Have you missed live music during the COVID-19 pandemic? If so, here’s some good news. More chances to catch live tunes are popping up around Atlanta.
Jazz lovers can head to Colony Square in Midtown starting Thursday to catch Jazz in the Sky. As the name suggests, this is no ordinary concert venue. The event is hosted atop the mixed-use destination’s helipad.
The concerts happen Sept. 17, Sept. 24 and Oct. 1 from 6-8 p.m. Guests will head 320 feet in the air to soak in breathtaking views of Midtown, Buckhead and beyond while relaxing to live jazz entertainment led by “America’s Got Talent” semifinalist Jacob Deaton.
Event attendees are encouraged to bring their own light bites and beverages or purchase takeout from one of Colony Square’s restaurants to enjoy throughout the evening. Tickets are $35 per person, and all proceeds will benefit The Atlanta Jazz Festival and Bert’s Big Adventure.
Masks are required upon entry from check-in to the helipad, and social distancing will be strongly enforced. The full list of safety precautions being taken at Colony Square can be found here.
