Carnival block party coming to popular Atlanta destination

Ponce City Market announces PCM Goes Upside Down, a new carnival-style block party celebrating local makers and creators, plus everything fun to eat, drink and shop at the iconic community hub. The event series will kick off on Thursday, October 14 from 5:30-8:30pm and be located on the second floor of the Central Food Hall and in the third floor trestle, which connects PCM to the Atlanta BeltLine.

The festivities will feature costumed street performers, complimentary treats, carnival games, live jazz at Bar Vegan and a range of fun, in-store activations, special products, exhibits and more from PCM’s local merchants, including Bombchel, Chubbies, Citizen Supply, Cobbler Union, Elk Head Clothing, Rhen’s Nest Toy Shop, SustainAble Home Goods, The Print Shop and The Village Market.

For the inaugural event on October 14, Ponce City Market is teaming up with Atlanta School of Photography to present a fun selection of photo booths where visitors can snap selfies or purchase professional shots taken in front of original backdrops created by local photographers Sara Keith, Brook Hewitt, Julie Yarbrough and Kahiah Polidore.

Guests can directly access PCM Goes Upside Down festivities on the third-floor trestle on foot or bike via the Atlanta BeltLine Eastside Trail. Drivers can enter the parking deck near Pancake Social, park on Level 2 or 3 and walk directly out to the second floor of the Central Food Hall or third floor to access the Trestle.

COVID-19 vaccination is strongly encouraged for all attendees, and in accordance with Atlanta City guidelines, Ponce City Market requires masks inside the market hall. Attendance is free and family-friendly, and all are welcome. RSVP here and follow Ponce City Market’s social channels for more information about future Ponce Goes Upside Down events.
